Spring at the Shop and at Home

There is something about Spring that brings out the best in us all. It feels like a new season for new things and it's always the most productive time in the shop for us.
Bright and cheerful gifts were added.

Tea sets in pretty pastels laid out.

Lavender bags sewn.

Ottomans painted and recovered.

and a couple of paintings were even completed by myself in the studio...

With the advent of a royal celebration and a summer of sporting delights, we have started creating our delightfully British range of nostalgia.

New cake stands are on the make well as glass upcycled butter dishes and cake covers

For Easter, our new range of bunnies  arrived just in time to celebrate an early Easter at the shop.

While outside, Steve's furniture
has taken on a rather serious yet playful edge and delight passers by.

A fortnight ago, we couldn't resisit having a little fun with the public during the "fuel crisis".

It has been wonderful enjoying the sunny spring days and soaking up some much needed afternoon sun in the shop.

A pair of lovely art deco mirrors atop a new piece recently added by Steve.

Meanwhile at home our fruit trees have been filling the sky above our lawn with a wonderful canopy of blossoms.

This Easter we invited two very dear friends to help us celebrate  in our very teeny home.   My Easter themed goodies came out to help set the scene. Is it just me or are vintage and Easter very good bed fellows?

At last I got to use my new Shelley vintage dinner plates.
Our home is bijoux (to say the least) but we dined in the kitchen on delicious New Zealand Lamb and drank toasts to all our friends and family on the other side of the world.

A very happy Spring to everyone and here's to a terrific and very British summer...cheers.

  1. What a lovely post, pure eye candy, I love the idea of the up-cycled jelly moulds, Lucey xx

  2. Fab post! It was lovely to catch up and see the shop in all its spring and Easter glory. My bunny looks so sweet with the eggs and birds. Your house looks adorable, too!
